2025-26 Project I Information & Calendar
Recently, the NECC shared more information about their plans for Project I for the 2025-26 academic year. The biggest change is that for all NECC members, the opportunity to compete in Project I will be free of charge.

Project I Registration
Across these 5 titles, each will have either a Fall or a Spring season, followed by post-season playoffs into a Nationals-style tournament at the end of the year.
Competition Days
Project I will follow a similar schedule to main NECC competition, with regular season starting the week of 9/29, and playoffs starting the week of 11/17 for the Fall.
Fall Season
League of Legends - Mondays
Overwatch 2 - Tuesdays
Valorant - Thursdays
Spring Season
Rocket League - Mondays
Marvel Rivals - Thursdays
Project I is open exclusively to NCAA Division I Member Institutions, operated by the NECC and run alongside NECC competition.
Participation for Project I is free for NECC member schools, and non-member schools can participate for $200 for one title or $400 for all five. Each school is limited to one team per game, and more info on what Project I is and the season schedule can be found below.

The NECC was started to provide the collegiate gaming community with the respect it warranted and deserved.
