NECC Releases 2024-25 League Membership Pricing

NECC Membership Page

Today, we are announcing information about our 2024-25 pricing model. While the cost of NECC membership will be increasing from last year, we are excited to continue to support all programs and will continue to ensure that all schools will have a variety of options so that they are able to compete in the NECC.

To participate in any and or all of our current game titles with an unlimited number of teams, it will be $1300 for the 2024-25 academic year. This includes access to each of our seven 'core' titles currently: Counter Strike, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Crews, and Valorant.

To participate in one game title (ex. Rocket League only) with an unlimited number of teams, it is $650.

Varsity Programs: Schools that have a varsity program will have ways to work with us to tailor the experience they want. We want to talk with you and make life within the NECC better for you and are committed to supporting you as best we can so that your community can have the best possible experience in the NECC.

Club Programs: We want to continue to help club teams participate and grow with the NECC. Please let us know how we can help as we are committed to supporting you any way that we can. If there are any questions about payments or setting up a time to chat please open a ticket and we will be able to help.

If these prices look unrealistic for your program, please reach out to us directly. As we did last year, we are once again fully committed to working with your program to find a sponsor or payment plan that works for you.

For more details and answers to questions, please see below -

Q. Why is the price going up?
A. Simply put - for a lot of reasons. But probably most importantly for you, this increase will allow us to add staff so that your experience in the NECC is better overall.

Things you'll see immediately include new staff members as well as an overhaul in our game manager organization and structure to improve the day-to-day operations and communications within the NECC.

This will also allow us to do some things - both internally and externally - that will make competing in the NECC better than ever. Quicker response time on tickets; larger prize pools; increased educational and professional development (internships!) opportunities; support for program growth and development, and a better overall experience are all among the things that will improve as a result.

Q. How many teams can we have compete in the NECC?
A. As many as you want. There is no multiplier or cost add on whether you have one team competing in five titles or ten teams competing in five titles!

If you choose access to one title, it's an unlimited number of teams in that game.

Q. Will you still be offering prize pools?
A. Absolutely. And we will continue to award prizing to each of our Nationals-winning teams, across each of our Divisions. And there will be more money in the prizing that is offered next year.

Q. When is payment due?
A. We'll begin sending invoices for the 2024-25 academic year out in early July.
Payment is due before the start of competition for your program.

If this is not possible for whatever reason, please reach out to support@neccathletics.com so we can set up a personalized plan for your program.

Q. Does this price include access to everything you're offering?
A. No. It includes access to each of our seven core titles - Counter Strike, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Crews, and Valorant - with a fall and a spring split in each.

We will still continue to offer other games and tournament-style efforts throughout the 2024-25 academic year. Some of them will have an additional fee, while some of them will be completely free to play in!

Q. What else can you tell us?
A. We're with you - it stinks to see prices go up. In a perfect world, there is no charge for any team / program to compete. Unfortunately, we do have costs on our end to run and operate the NECC.
We're confident that your experience in the NECC will be better than it ever has before.

Q. How do I get more information about becoming a member?
A. Send Jacob VanRyn a note today to learn more and / or to set up a meeting - jacob@neccathletics.com or support@neccathletics.com
Discord - JacobVanRyn

We also have a form on our website you can fill out if you'd like more information that can be found here.
