NECC Introduces NECC2, the Conference's Second Stream for Spring Semester

'NECC2' Premiered Monday Night to Kick-Off Conference's Spring Semester

The National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) is proud to announce that it recently launched it's second channel on Twitch, known as NECC2. The stream can be found here or by visiting twitch.tv/necc2

In addition to the conference's primary twitch channel, the NECC's second stream will run game play from the league Monday through Friday. The conference is planning on streaming between two to four games on NECC2 each night during the spring semester. The NECC's spring semester began Monday night with Week one of NECC Valorant. There were four streamed games on the NECC's primary stream, and an additional three games on NECC2.

"We wanted to make sure we were able to meet the needs of our growing community," said NECC Commissioner Jacob VanRyn. "NECC2 will allow us to stream between 50-60% more games than we were already planning on streaming this semester, and will allow us to showcase more teams from more schools throughout the spring. We're really excited about this development and we hope our community is excited as well."

Since its inception, the NECC has worked hard to promote each and every member school, and will continue to ensure that each member institution will appear on stream at least once each season. NECC2 will allow the conference to stream approximately 15-30 hours of additional NECC action each week during the season.

"While we're extremely proud of our streaming efforts overall, we honestly weren't thrilled with how many playoff games we were able to stream during the fall semester," continued VanRyn. "With our recent membership growth, the addition of our second stream will help us massively in this area. We hope to be able to stream upwards of 80% of our playoff games this spring, as well as each of our conference championship games. It will also allow us to do some pretty cool stuff when it comes to other tournaments and offerings throughout the semester"

The NECC began its spring regular season earlier this week, and currently has nearly 200 colleges and universities throughout North America competing this semester. The NECC currently sponsors regular season and posteason play in League of Legends, Overwatch, Rainbow Six, Rocket League, and Valorant.
