The Scholastic Esports Championship, presented by Rally Cry, EGF, NECC, and SAMSAT R20 Premier, is set to bring over 200 teams and 1,000 student-athletes together for an exciting weekend of high-level esports competition.
Taking place from Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11 at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas, this event will showcase some of the best collegiate and scholastic esports talent in the nation.
The NECC will be hosting its ‘NECC Nationals’ at the event and will crown champions in its top division in four titles - League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Valorant. The conference will also be hosting its ‘Project I’ Championships in each of the four titles at the event as well.
Additional competitions and championship events will be announced in the coming weeks. The three-day event will be open to the public and will be free for charge for anyone to attend.
“We’re extremely excited to be a part of the Scholastic Esports Championship this May,” said NECC Commissioner Jacob VanRyn. “We’re looking forward to bringing a number of our teams to this event and couldn’t be more excited to provide what we are confident will be a tremendous championship event for our NECC community. Competitors will include hundreds of teams from both the top collegiate programs and the best high school teams throughout North America, making for an electrifying atmosphere as players vie for top honors.
