College CoD is officially back. The 2025 season is just a few short months away and the chase for a CCL championship will begin for the seventh time.
The CCL has had some different renditions of itself over the years. This year, the CCL will feature a structure intended to provide schools and players with more opportunities and more organic growth within the league. College CoD will have a format inspired by the Black Ops Cold War season, only fitting for the return of the Black Ops franchise starting on October 25th.
Without further adieu, here is an outlook on the upcoming season:
General Outlook & Signups
Signups for the 2025 College CoD season will open as of Monday, October 21st and close on Sunday, January 5th. Each school will be allowed to field two teams for the upcoming season and dynamic pricing will be available based on your school’s current status with NECC.
NECC Members:
First team: $300
Second team: $200
Non-NECC Members:
First team: $350
Second team: $250
New Schools:

Regular Season Format
The CCL will have a two-phase, 8-week, 16-game season. Phase one will consist of 4 regions and 2 conferences per region. Each conference will also feature 2 divisions within them, consisting of 10-12 teams. For weeks 1-5, teams will play each team in their division.
Phase two will commence following week 5. Divisions will be restructured based on team record, and the remaining three weeks will be played against new opponents.
Conference Championships
New this season, the top 2 teams of the regular season in their respective conferences, will compete against each other to be crowned conference champions.
Playoffs
Regional playoffs will be a 3 day tournament beginning on Friday, April 4th. The top 16 teams in each conference will square off in a top 32, double elimination bracket. The top 8 placing teams in each region will qualify for the CCL playoffs.
The CCL playoffs commence Friday, April 11th, and end on Sunday, April 13th until the final four teams have been determined.

College CoD is set for another thrilling season of competition between both new and familiar faces. This format is designed to promote parity across the league, encouraging teams to grind their way to the playoffs and be rewarded for earning wins.
