The Tournament will be free for all NECC member schools to compete in.
Format
The Marvel Rivals Summer Tournament will follow the same divisional structure as seen throughout a regular NECC season of competition.
The amount of divisions is uncapped, however, the highest and lowest divisions are capped at 32 teams. Middle divisions will be capped at 64 teams.
All matches will be scheduled based on teams availability, if applicable and provided by the teams.
Round Robin
Teams will be placed into groups of 6-8, depending on the amount of signups.
For groups of 8, each team will be given one BYE and play on 7 of the 8 Round Robin competition days. In cases where there are not 8 teams in a group, fewer competition days may be used.
Playoffs
Following the Round Robin stage, the top 3 teams in each group will qualify for playoffs, with the first seed getting a BYE into the next round of playoffs.
For divisions with 32 teams, one playoff bracket will be used to determine a sole winner in the division. For larger divisions, 2 playoff brackets will be used and multiple winners will be awarded.
