Playing the character-based, first-person shooter video game Valorant, the headset-wearing members of UMD’s Team Lilac crushed Northern Virginia Community College, 3-0, in the Fall 2023 National Esports Collegiate Conference Mideast Championship.
This past Saturday, Redbird Esports (Illinois State University's esports program) hosted the first-ever Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Esports Championships and secured wins in each of the three titles the conference sponsored.
The National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) shared more details about it's 2024-25 academic year, including the titles it will be offering as well as the season-long NECC calendar for the upcoming year.
