CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS
Today, the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) shared more information about additional championships that the conference will be hosting at the upcoming Scholastic Esports Championship. The three-day championship LAN is scheduled to take place from Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11 in San Antonio Texas.
College Call of Duty, Apex Legends Collegiate, College Halo, and Project I will each be having their championships held at the event which will be held at the Boeing Center at Tech Port.
These collegiate championship events will be in addition to the NECC Division I titles being contested across League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Valorant.
"After years of missing out on seeing the best Collegiate Call of Duty teams battle it out in person, we could not be more excited to add the College CoD Championship to the Scholastic Esports Championship in May," said Alan Donofrio.
"With St. Clair College representing Ontario, Northwood University coming from Michigan, Fisher College hailing from Massachusetts, and Oklahoma Christian University all coming to San Antonio, we are confident that the opportunity for these schools to square up in person will be nothing short of epic as we crown our 2025 College CoD Champion."
Project I will be crowning their champions across the four titles that were offered this academic year: League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League and Valorant.
The Scholastic Esports Championship, which includes both high school and collegiate championships competition, is expected to have over 1,000 players participate.
"We're excited to announce that each of these events will be held in San Antonio this May at the Scholastic Esports Championship," said NECC Commissioner Jacob VanRyn.
"Over the course of the three-day LAN, we're looking forward to hosting each of these championships events and crown 11 collegiate champions!"
