The National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) shared more details about it's upcoming National Championships, which will take place later this spring. Teams will earn qualifying spots to compete in Nationals from their results during the regular season. Only teams that have paid membership dues are eligible to compete this season as each title will have a significant prize pool attached to it that will be awarded to the Championship-winning teams.
Over the course of the two weeks, the NECC will be awarding more than $25,000 in scholarship prizing to it's teams across eight different game titles.
The NECC's Nationals are presented in conjunction with CSMG, who is serving as the title sponsor of this year's Championships.
NECC Nationals will begin on Saturday, May 14 and will culminate on Sunday, May 29. To view the conference's complete Nationals schedule, please see below.
‘’We’re really excited about our National Championships,” said NECC Commissioner Jacob VanRyn. “I know our players, teams, and schools are definitely fired up. It's going to be a great event!"
The NECC is planning on streaming a number of Nationals games across all of its streaming channels – Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube; as well as on ESTV, the NECC's linear television partner.
Since the NECC began competition, the conference has prided itself on providing a first-class experience for its players, while working to create a structure that ensures safe and fair play for all of its competitors.
