NECC Announces Partnership with Playmakers Wanted Apparel Company

MANSFIELD Mass. - The National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) is proud to announce it has agreed to a partnership with Playmakers Wanted. Playmakers Wanted is a full-service custom clothing manufacturer that specializes in esports jerseys and products.

The partnership between the NECC and Playmakers Wanted provides an opportunity for the two companies to collaborate in a number of different areas specifically as it pertains to clothing and apparel. Playmakers Wanted will be designing custom merchandise for each of the NECC’s Hometown Series scholastic LAN events. The company will also be providing the conference with championship apparel for each of the NECC’s championship-winning players.

“We’re extremely excited to partner with the NECC to introduce our platform to college teams and organizations,” said Brian Teske, Owner of Playmakers Wanted. “We’re really looking forward to working with the league to provide top of the line, customizable apparel options in the collegiate esports space.”

“We’re excited to partner with Playmakers Wanted,” said NECC Commissioner Jacob VanRyn. “The ability for us to collaborate with one of the true leaders in custom esports apparel will be a huge addition for our conference and we’re excited to work with them to enhance everything we do in that space. Our players and fans will see their first-class line of products at all of our Hometown Series events and we’re definitely looking forward to working with them on a number of other initiatives as well.”

Playmakers Wanted specializes in custom jerseys, school- and player-specific merchandise, headwear and other gear. They provide a medium for gamers to express the feeling of a clutch play, close call, nail-biting finish, or the humor of an epic fail. To a gamer, our memories are defined just as much by the game we are playing during that time, as it is by our current life stage; whether it be high school, college, a certain job, where you lived, or the people in your life at the time, the game we played during those moments is what connects it all.

The NECC recently surpassed 100 schools within its membership. The conference’s fall semester is scheduled to begin in September and the conference will be offering full season competition across five titles: League of Legends, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, and Valorant.

Once again, this year, the conference will be streaming its game play five nights per week (Monday through Friday) during the fall and spring semesters. More than seven million people watched NECC action during the 2020-21 academic year.
