MANSFIELD, Mass. - With the health and well-being of our NECC Community at the forefront of everything we do, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our NECC Hometown Series event in South Bend, Indiana which was scheduled for August 28-29. The decision comes as a result of the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases associated with the delta variant of the virus.
Having spent the past six months or so preparing for the scholastic LAN with our team, we're upset not to be able to host the event at this time. The health of our NECC community is the most important thing to us, and while we are disappointed in this news, we are looking forward to hosting an outstanding event at the Bendix Esports Arena at a later date. We will be working with our partners to finalize the details and will share more information about our plans in the coming weeks.
While we are disappointed to have to make this decision, we are grateful for our amazing community that help make the NECC what it is. Please stay tuned to our socials and our website, necc.gg, as we will share more information about the event when it is rescheduled.
