MAAC Esports Championships LAN to Take Place This Weekend

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) will be hosting the conference's championship LAN this weekend as the league will be crowning a champion in each of its five sponsored titles.

The championship LAN will be taking place on the campus of Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, Maryland from Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12. For a full-schedule of the championship LAN, please see below.

The MAAC will be crowning champions in League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., and Valorant. 

The National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) will be helping support the three-day event.

First Round and Quarterfinal Round play will begin on Friday afternoon with championship competition beginning at 4pm ET. Preliminary rounds of championship play will continue throughout the day on Saturday.

The Championship Finals for each of the five games will take place on Sunday.

Additionally, the MAAC will recognize it's esports 'Program of the Year' Saturday morning prior to the start of competition. This award recognizes outstanding achievement across all titles during the regular season. Quinnipiac University was the recipient of the honor last year.

The MAAC supports 24 sports and championships during the 2025-26 academic year; in addition, the MAAC champion earns automatic qualification to the NCAA Championship in 15 sports.
